Petite Bouche
Recently, Export Fresh have expanded their range to incorporate a new line of Hydroponically grown leaves, hand picked and individually packaged to allow the chef to specify the particular flavours required to enhance a dish.
So named for the size of the leaves which we are producing, Petite Bouche literal translation is a "small mouth", although to a chef a "bouche" is a small garnish of leaves adorning a dish.
Based on the North Shore, the farm has been established for many years and was previously owned by June Henman and known as the Salad Farm. June operated the business and was an innovator in the field of hydroponic salad mixes supplying many of the finest restaurants within Sydney, gaining recognition as a market leader, but as forced to retire a few years ago.
We at Export Fresh hope to return the farm to it's former glory and produce fine quality leaves and edible flowers, along with a few different mixes, all of which is beholdant to the weather of course and we will focus on quality, forcing some products to be unavailable periodically.
Due to the nature of the product we will endeavour to update our Facebook page (Export Fresh) with new products and shortages but have included a glossary of leaves, with pictures and descriptions to help you decide on the leaves/mixes that are right for you.
